NEW FOLLOWER OF JESUS CHRIST

1) Commitment

Surrendering your life to the Lord, repenting of all sins and confessing Jesus as Lord and acknowledging God's authority in your life, trusting in Him, and dedicating your life to His purpose. It's a commitment to follow His teachings, seek His guidance, and live a life that honors Him.

2) Baptism

Water Baptism is the second step in your walk with Christ. It's a powerful demonstration of your new life in Christ. When you are fully immersed in water, it symbolizes burial with Jesus—dying to your old self and sin (Romans 6:3–7). Being raised out of the water represents resurrection into new life in Him, born into the family of God (Romans 8:16).

"We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life." - Romans 6:4

4) Serve

We here at Kingsway believe serving in the house of the Lord is an act of worship. Also serving others is a rewarding experience being a new follower of Jesus Christ. It's a great way to meet others in our house and fellowship portraying a sense of belonging.

5) Tithe

We believe once you give your life to Christ and become a member of the church one should tithe unto the Kingdom of God.

"Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing on you that there will not be room enough to store it." - Malachi 3:10

6) Connect

As a new follower of Jesus Christ, it's imperative that one connects into a men's or women's Bible Study and get spiritually fed on the Word of the Lord. Reading the Word and praying to Him develops a relationship with our creator in Heaven.

"The Lord looks down from Heaven on the entire human race; he looks to see if anyone is truly wise, if anyone seeks God." - Psalm 14:2
